I'm currently rewatching The Closer from the pilot episode onward, and once again I'm helpless against my fascination with Andy Flynn's character as well as his interactions with Brenda Leigh Johnson. From underhanded antagonist to devoted disciple? Fascinating.
Anyway, I did a Google and an lj search and ended up at missedplease. I'm no longer alone, yay!
The comm is doing an advent calendar challenge. While my inspiration seems to have either dried up or else moved to warmer climates, at least I managed to produce a drabble for there to post. Not that it's all that groundbreaking or original. Muses. Fickle creatures. :::sigh:::

"If you're really serious about this, I'll assign you to Priority Homicide effective next week, and you can start on Monday. Provided Chief Johnson agrees. I'll speak to her--"
"All due respect, Chief, but this I'll have to ask her myself." Flynn felt nauseous at the very thought. He owed Miss Atlanta a personal thank-you as well. Unlike Captain Taylor, she wasn't someone for gloating; but begging her to approve his transfer? Would smart like hell. She might not actually hate him, but she had a knack for making him feel two inches tall.
June bug in July, indeed.
Ouch.
"The Closer" drabble by allaire mikháil, season 1, 100 words, no pairing, Andy Flynn's POV, rated G.
For the advent calendar challenge on missedplease. Despite adoring the pairing of Brenda Leigh Johnson & Andy Flynn (even back when I seemed to be alone in it), I couldn't manage more than a drabble, but I'm so glad the community exists (and has fanfic!).
Excuse me while I get back to my inspiratio- rewatching of the show.
