:(

The worst thing about this theme is that since all the perpetrators (usually Albus driving Snape into marrying Harry) always act 'for the greater good', Harry should suffocate his own bitterness and confusion. He should be all grown up and sacrifice everything for the good of their world.

I just don't buy that.

I've always been really saddened by the whole Potter universe with its lack of serious mental problems. Everyone unstable is so with some kind of a funny twist or at least they're cute. Bear in mind I speak of the first 4 books alone... I do like Harry and Sirius and Snape, but that doesn't make me blind.

Harry so obviously has issues about family, belonging, being worthy, losing everything and possession. After a childhood like his, he's bound to become completely unstable if forced into a marriage that resembles closely the conditions of his life with the Dursleys.

Your story was really sad. I mean 'turns me into a gibbering idiot' sad. But it was very real. Maybe that's why the happy loving Harry is so popular. He doesn't give anyone this raw feeling.

Well done, dear!
