Why the fuck is there an lj comm for Reese/Wright and none for Connor/Wright? Reese belongs to Sarah Connor. One of the (not so) few canonical het pairings I've accepted as my OTP. Hah.

Meh, now I actually want Alex Torres/Michael Knight slash. Yes, from Knight Rider 2008.
I've actually continued watching the show, and it's not a work of genius, but it isn't half bad either.
And hey, a big plus: it doesn't have David Hassel
Now that (no spoiler space, since most assuredly no one on my f-list gives a damn) Alex Torres is dead, he's suddenly become more interesting. I'd like to read a story in which he survives KARR's destruction, returns to work for Knight Industries together with Mike, Sarah, Zoe and Billy, and he and Mike grow closer while re-building FLAG.
Yeah, yeah. Shutting up now. Hey, at least it's not human/car (human/AI) or, you know, human/android sex! *eg*
This KITT isn't that far along in his development yet. First he'd have to become more emotional (which, considering his programming, would be something of a miracle), then Sarah would have to leave Knight Industries so that their awful, boring "she and Mike are doing it, no, wait, they're not, oh, stop, they are, or..." finally finds an end.
Oh, I'm finding reasons for car sex. Heeeelp!!! Need new brain!

I blame Python's fic (that I discovered via [RareSlash]) for putting the idea in my head about, oh, three weeks ago. But once it found its way there, it took root, and I've been looking for more Batman/Gordon fic ever since.
Google was singularly unhelpful... until yesterday evening. I thought once again, I was all alone.
Well, no more.
Now I can finally feed the addiction, and boy, does it feel good.
'scuse me. Have to go read.

Fucking brilliant.
I so adore this show. Dr. House has nothing, nothing, on Martin Ellingham.

Honest" - which I originally started watching because of Amanda Redman (she of "New Tricks") and Sean Pertwee (the original Hugh Beringar in "Cadfael"), but soon learned to like for its own merit - I seem to see a bit of UST between Lindsay Carter (= Redman) and Ed Bain (= Pertwee). Lindsay is the wife of a career criminal ("career" as in "gets through life by perpetually committing petty crimes") in jail for the next four years, and mother to four teenaged children who also play it fast and loose with the law, while Bain is a police sergeant who's knocking at the Carters' door almost daily. DS Bain is strangely understanding of Lindsay's woes and does his best to protect her, plus in episode 1x05 he felt the need to make it clear to her that while he's technically still married, he's well on his road to divorce from "that bitch".
Too bad Lindsay is faithful to her jealous "wanker" of a husband.
They'd be the perfect amour fou. Even more so than Taylor or Vin's sexcapades with Viccy and Diane Wong or Deputy Headmistress Catherine Flitt.
Which, evidently, is a weakness of mine. No, not the sexcapades. Although, female nipple shots! All the time! Oh, the horrors! *eg*
Now, I want Lindsay & Ed het fanfic.
:::headdesk:::
The thing that almost made me spit tea all over the keyboard, though? Was Lindsay's father-in-law, Grandpa Carter (Michael Byrne), starting to sing "Over the Hills and Far Away". For the uninitiated: The actor played the role of Major Nairn, Wellington's spy master, in "Sharpe".

Things To Do In Colorado Springs When You're Bored", and the idea of a Buffy/Graham romance stuck in my head. A direction the author so far is only hinting at, but what the hell.
( I always rather liked Graham Miller. )
So, yeah, Buffy/Graham? Why not.
Post-"Chosen", I can easily see them run into each other for whatever reason, join up for a battle (or several), and grow closer in the process. Of course, it also thrills me imagining how Riley would flip if he and his perfectgirl toy wife came back from South America only to be faced with his former friend and comrade essentially having replaced him in the affections of the one girl Riley never really got over.
I thought I wouldn't be the only one to see the potential, but strangely enough, I seem to be. Apart from two readable, but not outstanding stories (Usefulness and One Thing Leads to Another), this pairing is rarer than a dodo.
I seriously wonder why.
Although I really shouldn't.
allaire discovers an interest in a pairing beyond the mainstream?
allaire's search remains fruitless. Oh, the surprise. Gah, argh.

K-Ville.
I haven't watched more than the first three episodes so far, so my opinion might change. I just hope it won't.
I guess my enthusiasm is mostly due to Trevor Cobb's secret (and how cool is that?! Having him be an escaped convict turned cop, of all things?!) and his partner's nonchalance upon discovering in. Marlin Boulet still holds his former partner's desertion during Katrina against him, but he's entirely comfortable with his new partner having a criminal past, and not just petty ante stuff? Whoa. Color me flabbergasted.
Now I want slash with the two of them. Cobb is single, Boulet is halfway on the road to being divorced, and hey, partners. Unfortunately - although I should have expected it -, there is a dearth of K-Ville fanfic. When not even ff.net has a single story up, you know you're screwed.
:::sigh:::
Fandomwise, why do I always have to pick the underdogs?!
I didn't expect to do so - in fact I fully expected to delete the rest of the episodes after watching the pilot -, but I think I'm in love with I haven't watched more than the first three episodes so far, so my opinion might change. I just hope it won't.

I watched episode 1x13 "Rostered Day Off" of City Homicide yesterday, and ( was assaulted by teh slash. Eeep. Help! )

By the way - if anyone knows of any Matt/Danny slash stories worth checking out (preferably looong ones), please tell me so. There doesn't seem to be an archive, and what lj comms I have found have rather meager offerings. :::sniff:::
One last thing: I wish "Standoff" had gotten renewed. Matt Flannery/Emily Lehman - with all its ups and downs - is a het pairing that's actually intriguing instead of painfully boring.

Strangely enough, that seems to be a pairing no-one's interested in. Which is a shame.
Admittedly, I'm an OTP fan of the Don/Charlie pairing, but just this once, I'd be willing to stray. The interpersonal conflict would be so very intriguing.
Apropos conflict - so far I haven't found a single Eppescest story in which Don and Charlie are discovered, Don is kicked out of the FBI, put on trial, Charlie loses tenure, and their father has an aneurysm. Or something like that.
Instead, there're just tons of PWPs. Don would obsess over being attracted to his brother, and would be in agony over not being able to astain from having sex with him. And it all coming to light? Would be the perfect angst fest.
Want. Want. Want.

Threshold by now and am still unsure whether or not the series is worth watching. Any suggestions from you?
Furthermore, I've finally ordered season 1 of The Magnificent Seven (Michael Biehn in high resolution! Yumm!) and Stargate: Atlantis. Lucky Amazon. Go me!
Apart from that, I've rediscovered the strangest yearning for rare slash pairings like Peter Wimsey/Charles Parker (from Dorothy Sayers' Lord Peter Wimsey books) and Richard Kimble/Samuel Gerard (from The Fugitive (Don't hit me - don't worry, it's not Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones I'm imagining; if anything, my Kimble's more like Tim Daly. I just believe the whole setting/plot is intriguing.)). Anyway, the internet (and the slash community) might appear endless, but with rare fandoms like these, you soon discover that anything off the well-trodden path is actually... well, non-existent, I'm afraid. :::sigh:::
I have another doctor appointment tomorrow. I'm afraid the next round of antibiotics is already calling my name.
By the way, http://dict.leo.org is slowly pissing me off for sure. When the heck are they ever online these days for a change?!
