For once, Christmas was utterly relaxing and beautiful. Normally, whenever I stay home for a longer period of time than, say, a weekend, me and my parents always manage to end up sniping at each other -- something we all regret afterwards, but which happens none the less. Not this time; I guess we all tried. My father still wasn't happy I spent the evenings up until perhaps 3 a.m. in front of his computer (what am I supposed to do when he doesn't let me go there while it's still day?!), but for once, we didn't have a huge fight about it. I didn't hide in my room or switch on the computer during the day, thus fleeing the family get-togethers he's so fond of. And I--I enjoyed it. If I had batteries, they'd now be completely re-charged. I just leant back and smiled dreamingly the whole time. Loved it, loved it, loved it.
I just hope we'll have more Christmas holidays like this one!
