Oof, I'm finally up-to-date on all the class reunion mails. For now. There's still a bunch of people who either haven't received the invitation or else didn't wish to respond. Thank God it's my co-organizer's job to locate them... :::whistles innocently:::
Elena seems to be over the loss of her incisor. She's eating normally again.
As of now, I'm officially on vacation for a glorious few weeks, yay! Although I somehow couldn't laugh when the friend I plan to take a trip abroad with told me on the phone today that our transfer from the airport to our hotel had been canceled. After all, she was just joking for the fun of it. Yay. See me laugh. :::strangles friend:::
I went to the hairdresser today, got a haircut and had my roots dyed. Now the skin on the back of my head burns and feels raw. Lovely. Ouch.
Crossovers of the Buffyverse with the Batverse (comics, not movies) throw me out of the story sooner or later when they have Buffy acquiesce to Alpha!male!Batman's orders after having sparred (to a draw) with Nightwing. Riiiight. As if. Anyone remember "General Buffy", or Riley Finn's frustration at her holding back for fear of damaging him during their sparring sessions? Let's not forget that, amazing gadgets aside, Bruce Wayne and his compatriots are still normal, non-superpowered humans underneath all that kevlar.
Not that I see Batman following Buffy's orders.
Two primal forces clashing. That would be an explosive personality conflict that people would pay to get ringside seats at.
Forcing one side into OOC territory for the sake of the plot (or simply because the author is lazy) is cheating. And disappointing in the extreme.
