This was the first story that I ever posted, and it's still (or rather: again) up on The Wonderful World of Make-Believe:

All Lovers in the Night
Author: allaire mikháil
Fandoms: various
Pairings: various m/m and m/f pairings
Rating: PG-13
Summary: It's really just love in the night...
Beta thanks to: Peja
3.779 words, various POVs.

This story is a crossover between far too many fandoms ("Profiler", "F/X", "Highlander: The Series", "U.F.O.", "Babylon 5", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Star Trek: The Original Series", the "Batman" comics, "Sports Night", "The Sentinel" & "Prey", to be precise) and not something I'm horribly proud of. You could almost call it a songfic, although I ought to stress that the song's only the prologue; the characters don't sing it to each other. *g* It's smoop. It's self-indulgent. Still, I don't exactly hate it. Whatever.

Babylon 5 fic: "Really Sleeping in Light"

Babylon 5 was the first online fandom I ever fell head over heels for - as a writer, not a reader/lurker. [livejournal.com profile] natlet virtually held my hand during the mad rush of writing my version of a fix-it for the Sinclair/Garibaldi pairing. This story really helped bring me into fandom as a whole.

Really Sleeping in Light
Author: allaire mikháil
Fandom: Babylon 5
Pairing: Jeffrey Sinclair / Michael Garibaldi
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Set after Emily Brunson's "The House of Flesh", this story creates an alternate universe in which Michael Garibaldi decides to join his lover, Jeffrey Sinclair, on Minbar - a thousand years in the past.

18.595 words, Garibaldi POV, AU/drama/novel.

It's one of my earliest works and as such, I might have written it differently today. I tried to emulate Em's style (at least in certain paragraphs), but I'm not sure how well I succeeded. It's certainly the longest piece of fiction I've yet written, and dammit, it certainly was a labor of love. That story consumed my life, and I will always love it.
