Wow, finally, a step forward!!! I talked to my department head today on the phone, and he told me that yes, he'd spoken with the head of the office yesterday, and yes,

I could go to W. if I wanted!!!

I said 'YES!' and felt like cheering out loud! :-))))
May, he said. Either the first of the month or somewhere in the middle. But definitely may!!!!

Tomorrow, I need to get an appointment with the man responsible for personnel, transfers and such. After all, I want to know when that transfer's going to happen (and order a moving van, and give in my notice for my old apartment in S., and find someone to take over the apartment during that three months, and find a new, permanent place in W., and find out whether my job there is also going to be with a trial period or not -- oompf, not necessarily in that order <eg>).

Anyway -- I'm thrilled.

I'll even go to the gym around the corner tomorrow and ask what I need to do to join. Because I just bet that my new job in W. will require the feared sports test, and with me being the epitome of the saying 'Sport is murder'... .
