I'm not sure whether I've fallen prey to a virus or worm or whatever, or whether my computer's simply breaking down. At least, McAffee reassures me that it can't detect anything. I de-installed Nero, re-installed it, and still I can't burn anymore. I'm seriously considering reformatting my hard-drive... but then, it took me an hour on the phone last month to get my internet connection established correctly -- a feat I am convinced I won't manage on my own. So, if I reformat, I'll have to do that again, and this time via the expensive 0800 phone line. What the heck is wrong with that damned thing?

Well, well, well, www.fanfiction.net is closed today due to the anniversary of September 11th. Somehow I doubt something similar will occur next August on the anniversary of the big flood catastrophe in Germany. I wonder why.
