Thank god I'm away for the weekend so I don't have enough time to lament the lack of my computer. I'm currently staying at a friend's place in Berlin. We used to study together (that was when -- 1999?! Christ, we're old! ;-) ), were in the same gaming group (MERP^tm) and unfortunately now only manage to see each other two, three times a year. Well, yesterday was her birthday party, today we baked Christmas cookies, and tomorrow... I'll have to return home.

I'm so glad I found a colleague willing to give me a ride to Berlin. The girl lives there but has to attend training in W. -- she drives home every other weekend. Six hours on the highway is not exactly fun, but since I wasn't the driver I really couldn't complain.

I love my friend's laptop -- wireless LAN is a thing of beauty. ;-)
