Let's keep this short -- about three weeks ago, I left for a one-week vacation in Turkey together with a friend. In Alanya, where we stayed, it was still summer. We spent more time doing the sight-seeing thing (the Romans and Byzantinians left behind many ruins of monuments) than lying at the beach, and it was definitely very relaxing and just what I needed after the training course in S.!

Just two days after I'd returned home, I became ill... damned flu. Since then, I've spent a lot of time coughing, sneezing, moaning and generally feeling sorry for myself, most especially since the

[Querstrich]-Treffen (our German slash mailing list's annual meet)

fell into that time period! Due to my lousy health and my unwillingness to inflict my sick self on all the others *g*, I didn't join my fellow listsibs but for a couple of hours yesterday, no matter how much I had looked forward to it. Grrr.
