Well, I've been promising it for a long time, and finally I managed to get it done: the The Sentinel recommendations are now up on storyteller's campsite!

Re-reading all my old favorites showed me quite plainly how much my taste has changed over the years. The Sentinel was my second online fandom, and many a story I adored back then is something I consider today a bit naïve, unbalanced in regard to the character dynamics and/or overly sweet. Still, many of my old favorites managed to pass the test of time and drew me in again. Plus, admittedly Jim Ellison still makes me drool, ahem.

I also added a new story rec to the House, M.D. page and a couple of information/discussion links to about half of the other recommendations pages. Enjoy.

The next rec page I'm going to upload will most likely be the Miscellaneous one. Six more fandoms to go. Yay me.

:) It's weird to be reading through old favorites! Sometimes I find myself thinking that everything used to be so much better in the olden days, and then when I go and read the old fic, it really is either OOC or overly sappy.

Of course Jim makes you drool! He's gorgeous! Was really glad to see Sentinel on DVD, 'cause it's been ages since I've actually watched any of the older episodes (rewinding that certain moment at the end of Sentinel Too part one and the beginning of Sentinel Too part two doesn't count!). The dynamics between the characters is absolutely gorgeous.

Exactly! And what really disquiets me is the number of stories I might have deleted back in the day, telling myself they were too dark, too realistic, too unhappy. They might have been just what I love today, argh, but I absolutely refuse to dig through 852 Prospect a second time like a newbie...

Kinky story or cat watching? ;-P

I know! The episodes are still staring at me from the shelf, but I will watch them again one of those days, I swear! Especially since, if I remember correctly, I only watched them in German the first time around - meaning Jim and Blair used the polite version of address towards each other, "Sie". Which, like, so doesn't fit their relationship at all!

Hi Tomas,

glad you liked it! *g*
If you want to know where other "Napola" stories are hiding, don't hesitate to contact [livejournal.com profile] xkatjafx. She's the "Napola" pusher around here. *eg*

Tell her I sent you. Just post in her lj; she has any tiny scrap of fanfic saved and/or knows all the links.
