Speaking of porn, "Not a Place" pretty much amounts to the same. Lundy and LaFiamma are so slashy - they beat each other up, they get up each other's nose, they care for each other despite it all, even as early as in the pilot when LaFiamma drags Lundy away from the burning car that he knew had to remind Lundy of how his wife Caroline died.
