Yesterday I celebrated my birthday with the Stammtisch people. My apartment ended up being quite full, but since
mareen managed to find enough space for 13 people plus one dog in hers I guess we could have squeezed a few more people into my living room! *g*
mabiana floored me on Friday when she called and told me she'd love to come, so Elena had an extra real-life human entertainer for the weekend! It was great to see her again. I love the earrings she gave me, Elena loved the attention, and hey, I even managed to spread my newborn fascination with The Dresden Files slash to her (that makes it sound kind of like an infection, but then, perhaps wizard/ghost slash is exactly that... :::giggles madly:::).
Further guests on Saturday were
xkatjafx,
mareen,
i_am_schizo,
esda,
ten_chan,
bingbulette, and
tmz_cori. Surprise guests turned out to be
temve and
franzi1981 who I really hadn't expected, but who thankfully didn't starve (@
temve: I went through my inbox and really couldn't find the e-mail you sent. I swear.). The salad made according to one of Tem's recipes found a couple more fans, and we all got together to slaughter the gigantic Milka Easter Bunny in some kind of weird ritual
esda still has the digital photos of to prove. *eg*
Elena had soooo many toes to choose from to sniff at (by the way, what is that about?! I know my cat loves cheese, but seriously?!), plus a multitude of people willing to dangle various sorts of string in front of her nose in order to entice her to play. Too cute.
My present is evidently still in the mail, and the guys were cruel enough to not even give me a hint! So unfair! Nonetheless, thank you. :::grumbles:::
And last but not least, I don't know what I did right this year, but the preparation for both parties went off without a hitch, leaving me enough time to shower pre-party and not feel hurried. Enjoyable, but unexpected.
