I don't even have the words to adequately express how bad this episode was.

The only thing coming close even halfway would be episode 4x07 "Missing Hours" of Miami Vice. For anyone lucky enough to have avoided that, that's the episode with the UFO and the screens full of psychedelic colors suggestive of an LSD trip.

In short, the absolute bottom of the barrel.

Just like "Tribes".

Did they ask the pizza delivery guy to write the script since the regular writers were already on strike? Because there's no other explanation for this crap.

I can't blame it on Don Bellisario leaving because season 5 had an absolute highlight in episode 5x07 "Requiem". If the show continues in the vein of "Tribes", however, it will a) be cancelled soon (one can't but hope!) and b) I'll have to boycott it if I don't want to die from head trauma after going /headdesk/ continuously for 43 minutes.

Oh God. Thank you, CBS. Now I am thoroughly ashamed that I discovered this fandom. As if the quality of the fanfic hadn't been bad enough.
