Yay, Yuki tested negative for Chlamydophila felis and FeHV-1 both!
You hear that sound? It's the boulder dropping away from my heart.
However, the raised red spots (that still faithfully increase in numbers over night) on my body apparently are due to a dermal fungus I got from Yuki (I've been faithfully applying fungicide to her ears since the beginning of this week... I blame the mycosis on the damned antibiotic). The dermatologist took a sample to find out which fungus is the culprit. Until the test results are in, I'm supposed to use a fungicide with cortison. So far, I don't see a difference. The spots have started itching. Great.
Since apparently, skin-to-skin contact is a big no-no, I'll visit my regular doctor tomorrow (the dermatologist is out of the office until the middle of next week) and hopefully get her to write me another medical certificate so I can call in sick next week, too. I don't much fancy being treated like Typhoid Mary at work, thanks - because refusing to shake hands without an explanation? Could get tricky. :::eyeroll:::
Well, all in all, things are better than I feared (but more annoying than I hoped) - Elena still seems to be healthy, thank God -, and everything can only get better now, right? Right?!?!?
