Inoculation shots suck. I had my second hepatitis injection today, and while I didn't feel anything after the first one, five weeks ago, this time was different. I felt it immediately -- my biceps tingled, swelled up, hurt. And suddenly black spots danced in front of my eyes. I had to sit down, swallow and rest a bit, or otherwise I'd have either thrown up or keeled over. Peculiar. Like I said, the first shot was practically harmless. The nurse warned me, even then, that swelling and heck, even days off work might be more than possible since the arm in question (I stuck out the left one since I need that one less) could be well out of commission for a few days. Argh. I definitely don't need that!

I want to spend this weekend at moonlight_spike's and not in bed with one arm double the size of the other!!! I so hope it gets back to normal tomorrow, and I can prove the doctors wrong a second time. Gah. If not for Egypt in April, I wouldn't have needed that damn inoculation anyway. Grrrr. And with my luck, Bush will hit Iraq by then anyway, and my father will cancel the vacation.

Still, I can type, so I hope for the best.

Oh, by the way, at the beginning of this week I got the results of the recent assessment of our salary group. I got a "3" which is not as good as I'd hoped, but might be enough to put me on the list for eventual promotion. Said list won't be composed until April, though, so I must live in suspense until then. And even if I end up on this list, the list position decides when/if a promotion actually happens. Being female (due to the idiotic equal rights laws), I might make it, my colleague said. I so hope he's right!!! <keeps her fingers crossed>

I'm currently working on a huge revamp of my website. I haven't liked the old design for quite a while now, and the new one looks way better. I'm also finally trying my hand at javascript etc. It's a lot of work, though, and nowhere near finished. Wish I had a clone, twin or co-webmaster... *sigh*

mareen recommended (and lent *g*) to me a fantasy novel with a certain amount of m/m UST, "Luck in the Shadows", which is pretty damned good.

So I burn I.'s QaF (US)-CDs and continue reading it.
