Damnit, I fell for it again. But "Another Time... another Place..." started out so well. Not that I read much Chakotay/Paris slash, because that fandom is one crazy bitch and usually more leather-daddy-heavy than Mulder/Skinner on its worst day. Chakotay is portrayed almost regularly as the domineering alpha male with a chip on his shoulder, for whom it is totally in character to "discipline" his boy toy, err, sorry, Tom Paris, his sensitive, misunderstood, effeminate uke lover. Blech. Argh.
( Excuse me for a moment while my stomach contents and the rest of me part ways. )
Oh, and for your information? The plot element of this story - a murderess killing for hire with Tom in her sights - is never resolved. Well, all is well that ends
During the extremely bad sex scene, I had an inkling I'd encountered that writing (and therefore that author) before, and what do you know? I was right.
mort is also the author of "Freefalling", which is undoubtedly the worst and disgusting Paris!Whump story ever. Tom is captured by aliens and experimented upon - experiments that include repeated graphic rape.
Yuck, yuck, yuck. I need to start a blacklist of authors somewhere.
