So, I've successfully moved about 250 km South-East and live now close to my parents. They're delighted. The new job I have is intimidating (two days at work, and I feel way over my head), but I have a short respite I really didn't ask for - I caught the flu, I'm contagious, and so I'm staying home with a doctor's certificate.

Current problems:
- the new job (as mentioned);
- getting my security deposit back from my former landlord;
- getting my kitchen installed at my new place;
- the yet-to-be-located broken water pipe somewhere in the building which a) causes a small lake in the basement, and b) leads to water dripping into the space underneath my bathtub (therefore I'm currently rather unwilling to run the washing machine and/or take a bath);
- the need to improve the cat-proofing of my new balcony (one of my cats somehow managed to wriggle past the cat-net and marched along the balcony railing while I was watching her disbelievingly);
- cat-proofing the window to the balcony that I intend to leave tilted most of the time (and for which one of my cats has shown far too much interest - I don't want her to try to slip out of it and kill herself trying);
- the broken display of my netbook (and the to-be-expected repair costs) because I fell down the stairs with it (the head-sized black-and-blue bruise on my left thigh is unimportant in comparison);
- the flu (as mentioned);
- the antibiotics I've been taking against said flu - there's a red, circular spot on my left forearm... if it's the damned fungus come back, I don't know what I'll do. I can't go through everything again. I just can't.
