Argh, I was so stupid a few days ago when I posted a story help question on [snapeslash]. I asked for certain story without realizing I meant a not-yet-posted story sent to me by [livejournal.com profile] viccy who was kind enough to offer me a sneak peak, so to speak, and I... *winces*

*goes looking for her brain, still beet red in the face*

:D

I'd offer you fresh brains, but unfortunately I have none to spare. Come to think of it, I don't think I even have the one set of brains everyone is supposed to have.

::hugs::

Like I said earlier, I don't mind people knowing I'm writing a Potter saga. Gods know I whine about that thing often enough in my LJ.

Will rush off to write more now. In case I ever actually finish the stupid thing. Maybe I should try getting really drunk before writing. I mean it might improve my speed. Am not saying anything about the quality, though. :D

Hey, I'm definitely not complaining about the quality here, but if booze helps with the writing speed, perhaps I should reconsider my 'no alcohol' policy. *g*

*kicks the sucker of a round-robin part she's supposed to write and whose characters. Simply. Won't. Shut. Up. Damn, it's getting way too long! And it's swallowing up my time! Heeeelp!*

And, and, and... how is the story faring? When do you think you'll post it? Inquiring minds want to know!

allaire,
who somehow has to think of "The X-Files" and can't get rid of the mental picture of a brain floating gently in a jar that's standing on the windowsill... Hey, if it's my brain, what would I have to do to get it back?! ;-P

You have to steal it back. :P I can try to help.

Gah. Am now thinking about From Eroica with love. :(

The story... Did mention it earlier, but will babble more. Have now actually reached the slash part. Heh. It just took me like what? 700 k??

You know, I'll post it, and then people tell me it's crap, since I don't have the guys shagging in the first 5 paragraphs.

Anyhoo... Promised myself I start posting when it reaches one M. So it's like 60 or so K more and I'll be there. May all the gods help me.

*imagines black-clad Viccy and Zombie-Allaire creeping through a research lab. Zombie-Allaire knocks down the test tubes on a desk and Viccy freezes when the alarm sounds. Zombie-Allaire just continues shambling through the room like a bad Frankenstein imitation*

*giggles*

Thanks!

They're shagging? They're shagging?!?! Yay!!!

And sex is overrated in slash although it's taken prevalence lately; a bit more fading out at the bedroom door and a bit more in-depth characterizations wouldn't come amiss in practically any fandom. And as long as the protagonists do get to the good part at some place in the story, everything's fine, so don't let them rush you!

60 KB. Wooo! I can't wait!

YES! They are shagging. All of them. Of course not all of them really WANT TO shag or actually care that much about shagging, but they're still doing it...

Yep. I kind of hate BOTH the huge stories with no sex and the huge stories with 50 per cent of sex.

I'm so hard to please...

Oh? Sounds interesting. ;-)

And it's not hard to please -- we simply have standards. *sniffs and raises her nose high into the air*

I so totally agree with you. Those people who have disclaimers like:

'I just wrote this fic these past 7 hours and then just HAD to post. I know it's crap but tell me you love it anyway'

make me sick. Do they have no pride?

Of course the fact that most fandoms (and Potter in particular) have lots of mailing lists where idiots write really bad fics and get praised by others is just adding oil to the flames.

... and you'll be lucky indeed if they needed seven whole hours to pin it down. Usually fic like that must surely be written in class by fifteen-year-olds who discuss the color of their nail polish at the same time. There's no other explanation.

It could also be a sign of the impending apocalypse, I suppose...

;-P

And those brainless sycophants who praise every little piece of drivel because its sugar content is close to 99% also turn my stomach.

Ewwww.....

Now am thinking of all the sugary drivel Snape has sprouted. I'll definitely have nightmares.

Yeah, 'Snape' and 'sweet' in the same sentence tend to cause them unfailingly... ;-)
