It's been quite some time that I posted something in my lj, so since I'm finally beginning to feel a bit better, I thought I'd remedy that immediately.
Well, I've been ill for the last two weeks with a rather bad case of the flu; so bad, in fact, that I had to postpone my birthday party. I didn't feel up to driving for more than three hours to get to my parents' house, preparing everything for the party, and besides, I'm sure none of the guests would have appreciated me spreading this bug any further. ;-)
So I called in sick, worked my way through eight boxes of tissues and uncounted amounts of teabags, slept a lot and did nothing more strenous than watching tv. A lot.
Well, let's say I've finally caught up with almost all important series including several new ones -- and, by the way, I fell in love. With "The D.A.". Only to learn a few days later that it has already been as good as cancelled. Typical.
But boy, that series is a blast! I so hope they'll at least show all the already produced episodes.
"Tru Calling", though, sets my teeth on edge since it seems like the producers automatically assume that their viewers are too dumb to think logically. While I'm glad that they finally got back to the "Tru witnessed her mother being killed" arc, the execution of the further storyline was just so -- argh. Argh. Argh. God, please. I do have more intelligence than a potted plant, you know?! And I bet the average viewer is not very much different. Such sloppy writing is an insult to any thinking creature!

As for "Century City", it's watchable, although I still see Ioan Gruffudd mainly as Horatio Hornblower. In a suit. Pretending to be a lawyer. ;-)
