"Stargate - Atlantis", episode 1x12, 'The Defiant One', is one of the slashiest episodes of any series I've ever seen. Had there been another song selection in the scene when Sheppard and McKay met again in the desert after the Wraith had been killed for good, I'd have died for sure instead of almost. It was so "the lovers meet again after having overcome the last obstacle and having killed the bay guy, and will now live happily ever after". Squeeeee!
Even at the beginning of the episode, their rapport was beautiful -- McKay and Sheppard communicating silently and working together without a hitch to get Weir do what they want was simply hilarious. Then McKay once again proved how much he cared by visibly worrying that something could happen to Sheppard while they were separated, and finally he jumped in to save the day by saving his team leader with a heroic stunt totally unlike our sometimes queasy genius. (Which doesn't mean that I believe it very likely that McKay has never been taught how to reload his very own sidearm. Duh. Especially since he seems to be quite a good shot.)
Hero!Rodney is becoming more and more common (and that makes me pretty happy).
On the other hand, there's "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit", in this case episode 6x07, 'Charisma'. First of all, it's once again a re-telling of an actual case (which pisses me off, because the whole disclaimer thing, "does not depict real events and people, blah blah", is just a crock of shit again and again), and second of all... what is Olivia? Stupid? Dr. Huang is like, the most unsympathetic psychologist ever (just like he was the most unsympathetic priest ever in "Oz"), and Benson must be dumb as hell if the only thing that's on her mind is the gruesome sight of the dead children. The only thing that should be on her mind is crushing guilt. She didn't check the address first, because otherwise she would have known what Abraham looked like, and how many people lived at the address. She didn't question Melanie enough. Otherwise they'd have knocked, seen Abraham, dragged him out into the street and cuffed him fast enough that he wouldn't have had the time to go for a gun, much less talk anyone into killing themselves/each other. She screwed up, and all the children who died did so because of her mistake. That is what she should be rhapsodizing about, not this whole "oh, see, children died, how awful" spiel.
SVU. Gah. Don't even know why I still watch it. Stabler, the man with the worst impulse control ever, is played by Chris Meloni, but even that can't compensate for everything, you know. How this series has remained successful is totally beyond me.
And finally, there is "LAX". It's like popcorn fic -- not very nutritious, but sweet. Definitely watchable. I like that Harley can be vulnerable and a slut at the same time, and still remain likable. That's what I call Women's Lib in action. Cute.

Aren't there re-runs? If not, can't you get the episode from the 'net? (And hey, if you cannot find it anywhere, and are willing to wait a few days, tell me, and I'll copy it to CD for you.)
For us slashers, "The Definant One" was even better than the episode with the personal shield and the dark cloud. Tons of McShep subtext. I think I'll keep that episode. :-)
My new computer is going to arrive in a matter of days (more hard drive space and a DVD burner!), so I'll be sure to hunt down those eps on KaZaA. Thanks for the heads up.
I'm very excited now (though I was always pushing for Beckett/McKay, too bad Beckett's never in it *le sigh*)!
man, there was sooooo much to love about that episode.
I am going to turn into an atlantis fangirl.
Really! :)
No, really, if there'd finally be more and longer McShep stories, I just might fall hard enough for that pairing (and fandom!) to want to keep the series. I'll come begging to you then, ok? ;-)
Have fun on Saturday. Of all the Saturdays in November... *pouts*
Aber was auch immer ich tun werde...Gedanken an McShep werden mich warm halten *g*
Und ja, ich teile auch gerne meine CDs mit dir. Und die langen Stories werden kommen.
I am sure!
Hoping...
