02:23 a.m.: Went to bed after reading way too much Mag7 gen. Yeah, I'm still sick. So what?
08.32 a.m.: Woken up by brother demanding to be driven to work since he'd overslept. And claimed that the next train would make him too late, so pleeeease? Discovered so far unknown altruistic streak and said 'yes'.
09.49 a.m.: Returned home and went back to bed. Neck hurting; sure indicator for migraine to follow. Argh.
01.43 p.m.: Woke up (damn alarm clock didn't work!), ate lunch, held aching head, swallowed painkillers, slept.
04.10 p.m: Got up again (head still achy), packed things to go see [livejournal.com profile] mareen.
04.37 p.m.: Got into car.
04.53 p.m.: Crashed into another car which, in turn, got pushed into the other lane and hit another car. Thankfully, no person got hurt, but own car didn't look nice anymore. Front bumper smashed, hood pushed in it's a miracle the lights, of all things, still worked. All machinery underneath hood still worked, too. Equally amazing. Other drivers took situation with equanimity. Not joining in that feeling since car crash my fault and insurance rates will be sky high once this is over.
05.20 p.m.: Police finally arrived. Had seen more than 5 police cars drive by -- evidently some kind of 'situation' at the football stadion. Great. Raining.
06.02 p.m.: Following mother in her car to garage. Still stunned that car could move at all.
07.05 p.m.: Finally at [livejournal.com profile] mareen's. Mad as hell and without any idea how to survive the next weeks without car. How to commute to work -- public transport?! Sucks. Most likely, car repairs will be more expensive than car's worth right now. Sucks, sucks, sucks.
00.14 a.m.: Going back to parents' home again by train.
00.52 a.m.: Home. Switched on computer. Found a new chapter in Katherine Lehmann's "Learning to improvise" series. Now feeling a bit better. Refusing to think of tomorrow. And car.

What a wonderful, wonderful day...

Yeah, well, by now, I'm a bit more calm than yesterday. I'll go to the doctor tomorrow and let myself be excused from work for the rest of the week (my neck is hurting -- my mother has predicted it will only get worse due to the whiplash caused by the crash). And we'll go car-hunting if my suspicions are correct and my car is beyond repair. <huge sigh>

So I guess I'll stay at my parents for the remainder of the week. Anyone who needs to talk to me better ought to post in the journal instead of mailing me -- I won't be able to access my inbox until I'm back home. Sorry.

As for the migraine, so far I only ever had it lasting a day. And usually, taking two painkillers is enough. True, they are ones especially prescribed exactly for his kind of pain, and they are very powerful, but usually, they do the trick. But I loathe to take them since they're that strong. And it tends to help even more if I'm able to sleep, too -- also in a dark room, [livejournal.com profile] kriski. :-)

But hey, girls, I will be fit again for the [Querstrich] weekend! Promise! Just don't know how I'll get there. ;-)
