SGA 2x09 "Aurora"

A nice storyline, a nice color scheme on the "Aurora", Sheppard not being trapped in the VR = positive. McKay going after him & McKay reloading his gun without even watching his hands work = awesome. Sheppard cutting McKay again with the whole trust issue = infuriating. McKay running away from the awakening Wraith instead of shooting it point blank = stupid asswipe writers. Wraith killed by a few 9mm rounds = not very believable after Super!Wraith ("The Defiant One"). Teyla (and her audience of one) stalling Caldwell = sweet. Sheppard once again spilling military secrets to the hot chick he's trying to charm = idiotic. McKay calling him on it = hot! The crossed arms! The tilt to his chin! Go, Rodney. Also, the white uniforms? = seriously hot.

All in all, watchable to good. The whole harking on the "Trinity" aftermath, though, makes me want to slap them all silly. Today, I talked myself into another rage remembering that McKay never got any credit for pulling miracles out of his ass and risking his life for the expedition again and again, while one mistake shadows him with no end in sight. Despite the fact that the others should be the last people to throw stones, considering how idiotic some of their decisions have been in the past. Gah!

SGA 2x10 "The Lost Boys Part 1"

Sheppard trying to shut McKay up in the opening scenes = needlessly biting and aggressive. Ass. Ford being behind the ambush and kidnapping = stupid hair. Seriously. Go find your baseball cap. And just try and relax a little and remember that you used to be normal instead of screwed up mentally, and seriously, stop playing traveling salesman for the enzyme to amass your own Robin Hood-like band of outlaws. Kidnapping your former team members, forcing them into drug addiction, holding some of them hostage and threatening their lives to get them to cooperate = not very helpful to your cause. Sheppard falling for Ford's "I wanna go home" line = duh. Teyla & Ronon fighting over food and grinning like shiny happy people = hot, but somehow disturbing. That's foreplay, I swear. McKay & Sheppard in that clearing with Rodney breaking down, and the touching! = awww. The Wraith taking "the pilot" = so not surprising. Unfortunately. I kept screaming at the TV for them to take Ford, but they never listen. He's rapidly getting more annoying than Kolya. And popping up just as much. Eep.

Watchable, but with a very questionable Sheppard. Is that the best he can do? Is that planning and doing what he can for his team? I don't know, and I'm not very reassured.

Which reminds me - McKay once again got no credit for repairing the Dart, but then, that would be acknowledgment that he can do good. And that's evidently not his role when he can be the screw-up instead.

One more reminder of The Very Bad Thing That Is "Trinity"tm, and I will scream. And shoot all those hypocrites.

A few quotes from other people who said some things I could never put quite that aptly:

"I'm telling you the truth." He is, too. He has very sincere hair."

and

"I love how John *says* he doesn't trust Rodney but his actions say otherwise. Rodney can be so brave and so cowardly at the same time that it makes my head spin and of course it make me just want to love him all the more.

Ford...poor Ford. He's so completely out of his mind. I feel for him and yet I think I want him dead. Actually I want him captured and somehow taken home and cured, but if that can't happen I think his little psycho-self may need to die. Poor Ford. He used to be such a woobie and I still feel so sorry for him but not so much any more."

I totally get the whole deprived thing. I didn't find the time to watch those two episodes and suffered seven kinds of hell on Saturday when I met with fannish friends who tried their best to keep the spoilers from bubbling up!

Good luck with the download. And seriously, "Aurora" is a visually very pretty episode. *g*
