Hate the flu.

Nothing really new -- I just thought I ought to update this thing at least once in a while. Me bad.

I've got the flu, and a particularily nasty one of that, too, plus my computer woes might finally have come to an end. I hope. After wiping my C:\ drive clean yesterday -- again --, but this time under the supervision of a (quite arrogant) computer support guy, I have the moderate hope that this time, it'll be the last. At least, so far, the programs I opened seem to be working. Astonishing.

Of course, I've once again accumulated more than 60 unanswered new e-mails... let's not even talk about the old ones. But then, installing all your programs for the xth time is a quite time-consuming business.

Plus falling for another fandom. One and a half weeks ago, I'd have sworn on whatever demanded that I found the idea of Harry/Snape slash utterly disgusting. I remember quite clearly how I sneered about even the idea of Lucius Malfoy/Harry slash (which still makes me queasy, but that's not the point here), and would have immediately applied that to HP/SS. Well, not anymore. Somehow, the idea would not leave me alone, so I -- looked. Like always. Searched the 'net. Found several archives. Read a couple of stories. Fell utterly in love. This time, with Telanu's 'Tea' series. Totally addictive and well-written.

Everything else so far has fallen short.

Most especially, I've found a new squick: The so-called 'Severitus' stories on ff.net (aaargh -- who the heck came up with that crackpot idea of Snape being Harry's father?!?! Gives me the creeps.).

Well, so I ate my own words again. Nothing new here. Harry/Snape is hot. At least when written by people uninfected by the Mary Sue- or Harry Stu-virus which seems to loom quite prominently in this fandom.

Bla bla bla. I'm blabbering again. Must be the flu. Or the camonille tea. Bleh.

Somehow, it gets more and more easy to just accept that I'm -- seriously disturbed. But excuse me, I must return to my downloaded pile of HP/SS fic. Yeah, I knew you'd understand. <eg>

*stares disbelievingly at screen* Harry/Snape???!
I don't think I will follow you into that fandom ;-)
Get well soon!

Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] mabiana! :-)

And don't tell me that -- after all, I'm the expert on the 'never say never' thing. <g>
Telanu's series so far consists of four stories, and the extend of actual slash hasn't been more than two (extremely heated) kisses. It's wonderfully in character for both Harry and Snape, and, well... bloody wonderful. Read it -- I dare you. ;-)))

Um. That series is very good. And now I see that one can actually get them together in a convincing way. I still don't really think that I will get addicted to that fandom, but I will not say never again in the future and am likely to return to that website to see if there are new parts *g*

You've been lured to see the beauty of Harry/Snape???

MWAHAHAHAHA!

Just so you know, those two will suck out every ounce of your creativity, demanding more attention than Mike, Jeff, Chris and Ezra together.

(rushes off to write Harry/Snape with an insane grin on her dace)
