Happy Birthday,
mabiana!
Once again, I am a few hours late, but it's carnival, and I still have those awful drinking songs stuck in my head - in fact, I feel horribly inclined to bellow "So ein Tag, so wunderschön wie heute..." that kept resounding loudly from the bar below not too long ago.
Anway, I do hopetoday yesterday was a wonderful day for you, and:
Happy belated birthday,
mabiana!!!
Anway, I do hope
I'm glad to hear you got green cake. It's a shame, though, that you had to work, but I guess carnival isn't such a big thing in S.
I'll be going to bed now. And I still hear that song in my head. Shoot me now, pretty please? :::whimper:::

That is a horrible song to have stuck in your head, I hope you got rid of it soon... only a few more hours, then carnival is over. ;-) No, carnival is luckily not that much celebrated here (although I wouldn't mind having the days off ;-) - actually, allegedly, many years ago my employer used to give the Tuesday afternoon off, but now that I work for them of course they don't anymore ;-) ).

Frankly, I wouldn't mind it being less of an occasion here, either. Sunday night at about 03:00 a.m. there was a handful of people playing brass instruments wandering along the street across from my apartment, and of course, playing them. Sometimes I am convinced that the people here are insane.
You didn't even get half a day off?! That's unfair.
