So, we passed TÜV and ASU today. For the Non-Germans: That means the Technical Inspection Agency put a sticker on my car saying that it fulfills all the necessary requirements - including the emissions test - and thus is allowed to drive on Germany's streets until May 2008 when the next inspection is due.

I'm so proud.

Congratulations! German car inspections are a B**** and it's been 30 years since I had to go through one! The American car inspections are kidergarten to these things.

Well, I was all mentally prepared for being sent back home with a list of necessary repairs that needed to be done, but evidently I was lucky. *g*

What are American car inspections like? Do they include an emissions test?

(Yes, I'm curious.)
