The new homepage update once more caused me to revisit a lot of old favorite stories, but it also led me to new ones I am still all blown away from: Harry Potter.
Sirius Black has always been a character I've felt deeply for, and when I discovered that there was at least a small number of very good Snape/Black stories out there, I was ecstatic. That was in 2003.
Then along came OotP, and I fell into denial. Rowling's view of Sirius' character in book #5 (plus the treatment he received from his so-called friends and allies while he was all but locked up in the monstrosity that is 12 Grimmauld Place) made me angry enough to avoid the fandom for quite some time. Until the rec update came along, and I discovered Sirius-centric gen written by the terrific RobinLady - "The Unbroken Universe". Sirius. As an Auror. Competent, strong, unbroken.
Excuse me - I'm still drooling and need to go re-read certain chapters for the xth time.
Anyway, enjoy!
